Three years ago we had the pleasure of working with a family who were building a custom home in Falls Church. They contacted SDI for assistance selecting all of their finish selections for the entire home. For the kitchen and bathrooms, this included tile design, cabinet colors and lighting. Paint and lighting selections were made throughout the rest of their home. Other services we provided included creating floor layouts for the family room. This was critical so that the location of floor outlets could be determined. SDI attended selection meetings, contractor meetings, and construction walk-throughs to ensure that everything came together as planned.
There was a time when a family’s home had distinct living spaces for each single activity they might engage in: dining, watching TV, working, or playing. I’m sure that you have noticed, as we have, that things have changed. New home floor plans, as well as remodeled homes, have evolved in recent decades to include open living spaces, which creates the need to think more strategically about decorating.
